Rhythm’s “Tri-Cracker” takes you to a retro view of city festivities. Today, they are known as the “Glory” series, and they each feature partially transparent 3-piece dials. At the top of the hour or when the demonstration is activated, the dial pieces slide apart and the balloons beneath move as one of 6 popular tunes play in Rhythm’s euphoric Dynamic Wave Sound (DWS), featuring hits like “Honesty” by Billy Joel and the theme from “Mahogany.” It is encased in a thin metallic gray frame with a brown and gold pattern on the glass. The multi-layered design of the city buildings beneath the dial partially hide a continuously-rotating decorative wheel.
